obviously, though this means they need to be mean hissy cat not-friends. because they don't do friends.
goro might actually be pretty good at making him realize animals aren't gonna hate him because animals are not people and don't really judge based on character since they're not sentient in the same way humans are. he's also definitely smart but in the worst and most obnoxious way.
but also they should definitely fight. that makes them friends, right???

PLEASE... he says animals get uneasy around him because they know he's a killer but I believe in my heart it's more because they can sense he's uneasy and it makes them uncomfortable too. u_u He deserves to be loved.

Blurb: 20 years old money obsessed bastard from a vampire ruled poverty-stricken hellscape that's in eternal night. he's never seen the sun except for once? and it was underground? plus he nearly got blinded for life from that. he's never trusted someone wholeheartedly, and he's both haunted AND a little cursed. his biggest fantasy is living somewhere with no vampires and never going hungry. being a soulknife rogue, he can do fancy mind tricks (when he gets them back) and is definitely not hampered physically by the power nerfing too much. has no tolerance for bullshit and a temper befitting somebody under the national average height.

- Plans: Besides nearly blinding himself on day one and cussing out the sun, Adelis is (regrettably) used to physical labor since the age one can start working in Ostoya is 12...which doesn't seem bad when the average lifespan is 30, in retrospect. While farming isn't his forte, the opportunity to get away from his shit life is a chance he's willing to take, so he'll put some effort into it for sure. Dirty work is fine, but the dirty part is usually blood and scorn, so this will be new. Besides adjusting, one thing Adelis has is his distaste of other people and getting close, since in addition to his trust issues, most people keep to their own where he's from. He needs friends, basically, or people he can get along with and tolerate and who can maybe peel off that son-of-a-bitch veneer a bit. A sense of actual normalcy would do him good, even if it takes ages. His bingo card is here, if you wish to take a look!
Seeking: • anything positive, by god. he's a bit insufferable due to his arrogance and sharp tongue, but he can be...tolerable...
• other sensible adults? drinking buddies? he's overtly fond of a good stiff drink, and he wouldn't mind being introduced to other booze that isn't basically cheap mead or wine. the vampires take all the good shit.
• someone to teach him the ins and outs of modern society because. he doesn't know what a tv or a phone is. part of him doesn't know want to know.
• if you're also perhaps a criminal or a cautious person and wish to trade information, please hit him up. he likes business, and while there's probably no need for it here, he likes being in the know. about people, goings on, and everything so forth. it's like one of the only hobbies he's got as of now.
Offering: • a certified bastard.
• he's unfortunately pretty, and despite his slimmer frame he's strong. you can't scale buildings and pull off acrobatic moves if you aren't in shape, after all. he also knows this, so i'm sorry in advance. unfortunately, it doesn't redeem him for everything else.
• he can be your venting buddy. this is bullshit?? he hears you.
• also he's uhhh cursed! kind of! adelis suffers from an affliction that steadily drains his body heat, and after about an hour or so without coming into physical contact with another person, he'll go corpse cold. while he can function like this normally, it tanks his constitution, leaving him more susceptible to illness and poisons while being mildly uncomfortable. he detests this, but since his survival is important, he'll begrudgingly accept or seek out assistance with it. awkward hand holding, or perhaps more if you're into that.
Avoiding: I'm fine with just about anything! A note that Adelis will react very negatively to vampires and undead, due to his history, but he won't be too rude to their face...he's grown up fearing them due to their power, and will regard them with moreso disgust than anything.
Anything else:
otegine is so sweet :') ellis can fortunately read lips, so communication is not totally lost, at least on his side! he'll probably write notes for the more specific lines of communication to show otegine (i'm assuming he knows how to read. i'm assuming all possible adjutants can read)

I know we have at least one character that can't read (Owen) so rip him, but yes Otegine can thankfully read just fine 👍
LBDJVSK don't worry Otegine will be able to tell, he has the ability to sense when spiritual types are around him to an extent so he'll likely just assume childe's just a really bloodthirsty human.
TALKING ABOUT STRENGTH... yeah even coming at it from what he remembers about his masters and who he considers to have a lot of strength, it's definitely gonna be a different take than mister "I fell into the abyss and all I got were these dead fish eyes" (I love childe i promise) so I look forward to if that comes up! Morality in general is always interesting for swords anyway since they can and will commit some pretty massive slaughter if it means keeping timelines in order, just how they personally feel about it can vary. u_u

i mean that's fair and nods fast at her design (which needed to grow on me personally) and ado's voice is fucking great.
