Name: John Steinbeck Canon: Bungo Stray Dogs
Blurb: Steinbeck at first glance seems like an altogether alright guy - he's baby-faced, talkative, bright, and seems just like your typical farmer boy from good old rural America just trying his best to support his large family back home. What is under the surface though is. Um. Well! He used to work for a group of people with superhuman abilities that did all sorts of heinous things including infiltrating another country and threatening to wipe out a whole city and its inhabitants with a giant mecha whale. (Hi. Welcome to Bungo Stray Dogs). Steinbeck also has the gift of a particularly messed-up ability called the Grapes of Wrath that involves a nasty sort of body horror component, so being a superpowered individual isn't all that it's cracked up to be.
Either way, he's a little more messed up than he looks, as he's got a terrible cold anger streak underneath his casual exterior, but its really because he's got a bone to pick with certain kinds of people who use their power over others. Eat the rich, and all that. Besides that, he's not all too bad to get to know, and hey, as long as you don't get on his bad side, you should be fine. He's just a normal farmer guy, after all. :)

Plans: I just want to throw this grape man at everyone and see what sticks don't mind me.
Seeking: Just about anything! Friends, romance, enemies, what have you. Steinbeck is someone who could get along with someone but also threaten to shank another in the same breath, so he's a big opportunity to get all sorts of CR. I would love in particular to find anyone who presses his buttons and gets his anger to flare up, but overall I'm good with everything!
Offering: - a big brother type (steinbeck is very familial so if you want that kind of responsible older brother energy here u go) - BASTARD INTERACTIONS!! as much as he looks nice and pleasant on the surface, steinbeck has a bone to pick with people who throw their power around/act arrogant, so if you want someone to butt heads with you, he's here for that) - does your character need help with farming? HERE IS A REAL LIFE FARMER BOY so he will be here to give tips and tricks - a friend for your weird cryptids/goth people/introverts! steinbeck is chatty and literally does not mind weirdos whatsoever, as he's bffs with cthulhu in story (real, not clickbait) so if you need someone to bring your person out of the shell, he's for you - freaky? body horror? if your character is interested/has weird-ass abilities you may bond with him over having a horrifying power i suppose
